Tasmanians born between 1966 and 1994 may not be fully immunised for measles. We were recently visited by Health Minister Sarah Courtney to announce the rollout out a free, State-subsidised catch-up vaccination for those eligible, as well as children between 6-12 months travelling to high-risk areas. Measles is an extremely virulent organism, though the vaccine is one of the most effective. Talk to your GP today to see if this applies to you.
